Our Story

  • 2006-2007

    HighPoint Community Church was established in October of 2006 and met in the living room of Pastor Joey Hill until moving to a larger residence for space. It was in the home of David and Lynda Fikes where the Church would meet until it transitioned to Corner High School.In June of 2007, HighPoint moved to the high school and continued to meet there until the fall of that year. It was during this time HighPoint purchased 22.1 acres of land on County Line and Morris Cobb rd. 

  • 2008-2009

    In January 2008, HighPoint moved to the property and met in a Mobile Chapel provided by the Alabama Stat Board of Missions. In January of 2009, an additional 5000 square foot facility was added that housed a new worship center, education space, and offices. HighPoint was overflowing with people and began holding two services on Sunday mornings. Awanas was added to the line up of children's ministry along with VBS and a new Sunday morning kids program,

  • 2010-2012

    Due to the overwhelming growth, in 2010 HighPoint entered another building phase entitled the "Catalyst". The 12,000 square foot facility was completed in April of 2011 with the first official service on Easter Sunday of that year. The facility named The Lego Project more than doubled the current square footage to accomadate the growth of these ministries. 

  • 2016

    As HighPoint celebrated its 10th year, Pastor Joey shared 10 initiatives that each family, individual, or ministry, will pray and participate in. For more information on our 10 initiatives click here.
